Short version: We don't collect personal information, don't require accounts, and don't sell or share your data with anyone.

What we collect

LeanKeyword is a search tool. When you use it, we process the following:

  • Search keywords — the word you type into the search box. This is sent to our server to generate domain combinations and check availability. We do not store your search keywords permanently.
  • IP address — your IP address is used solely for rate limiting (to prevent abuse of our domain availability API). Rate limit logs are purged automatically after one hour.
  • Standard server logs — like all web servers, ours logs basic request data (IP, page requested, timestamp). These logs are used for security and performance monitoring and are not shared.

What we don't collect

  • No account registration or login is required
  • No name, email, or contact information
  • No payment information
  • No tracking pixels or fingerprinting
  • No persistent user profiles

Cookies

LeanKeyword does not use cookies for tracking or advertising. Your browser may store standard session data, but we do not use any third-party cookies or analytics platforms that track you across sites.

Third-party services

We use the following third-party services to operate the tool:

  • Namecheap API — domain availability checks are performed via Namecheap's API. When you search, your query is sent to Namecheap's servers to check domain availability. Namecheap's privacy policy applies to their data handling: namecheap.com/legal/general/privacy-policy
  • Cloudflare — our site is served through Cloudflare for performance and security. Cloudflare may process request data per their privacy policy: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy

Affiliate links

When you click a "Register at" link for GoDaddy, Namecheap, Porkbun, or Dynadot, you are taken to that registrar's website. We may receive a small commission if you purchase a domain through one of these links, at no additional cost to you. These registrars have their own privacy policies which govern any data you provide to them during registration.

Data security

All connections to LeanKeyword are encrypted via HTTPS. Temporary rate limit data stored on our server is automatically purged after one hour. We do not store domain search history linked to any individual.

Children's privacy

LeanKeyword is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect any information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of LeanKeyword after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
